The casas da terça (pronounced "teer-sah") are three natural stone block cottages in traditional madeira style in an area of the same name in the parrish country of tabúa in the municipality of ribeira brava. Casas da terça is located some four kms from the beach at ribeira brava and 19 kms from funchal. It is situated inside a valley and the environs are typical of the farming and nature quality that madeira became famous for in the past. It is very calm and very quiet. the three cottages are positioned in a larger than 2000 m² garden built on a slope and terraced with flower beds and quaint paths shaded with hundreds of different varieties of flowers, fruit trees, indigenous plants, herbs, and brush. the main house is named “casa da terça” after the area in which it is located - called "sítio da terça". what started out as a hobby and a labour of love soon became a nice place to stay with many friends and family wanting to enjoy a weekend or a short stay in the country too. Subsequently, the ferraz's built two more cottages in traditional style - another two floor cottage with two single beds called the "casa da glicinia” and a quaint studio cottage called the "casa dos agapantos” with a built in sofa bed for two adults. each cottage has its own separate and external place (terrace) with table and garden chairs. In the central reception area or patio there is a separate outside garden traditional kitchen, which is itself completely equipped and can be used for barbecues for entertaining friends. t2 – casa da terça - 1 house with capacity for 2 upon 4 persons. - 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, living room and full equipped kitchenette, 1 small living room with sofa bed. t1 – casa da glicinia - 1 house with capacity for 2 upon 3 persons - 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, living room, full equipped kitchnette. t0 – casa dos agapantos - 1 house with capacity for 2 persons - 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, full equipped kitchnette.
